Let’s be real. The days of plain pine and oak cabinetry are outdated and long gone. Today, designers incorporate kitchen color and not in a ’70’s retro style way, but to draw contrast and bring cohesive style.
Maybe you are drawn to natural wood finishes? Great, these can still be incorporated in different ways through furniture, painting select pieces like the kitchen island or through wood plank walls and flooring.
The new color is green and it is easy to see why. Green marks a versatile color that transcends all style genres. Shades of green can promote an earthy, rustic style when distressed or dulled down and have the ability to pull off a transitional/contemporary feel with lacquer and polish.
