Display Your Baubles and DIY

Having space issues, like shiny things or just a fan of organizing or DIY projects? It’s time to artfully display your jewelry and baubles. Add some personality to your space and DO IT YOURSELF! Save time untangling your go to danglers! I said it is TIME! Here’s are some ideas, either through accessories, things you perchance already own or non-cheesy DIY projects:

Clear Cases or Cloches: Let’s be real, glass cases are all the rage right now whether your perusing through clothing boutiques or furniture stores. And in the era of terrariums, you can find some awesomely unique styles. Bring your jewelry into the light. West Elm has great shadow boxes or interestingly shaped cases

Small Bowls (DIY): Yes, there is a DIY project here but if you already own some flashy dishes that you can’t get enough of, put your baubles in them. Though I must admit, these gold-dipper, marbled bowls are frankly awesome (bonus: they can also serve as amazing handmade gifts).

Frames (DIY): Use a frame to hang your necklaces, bracelets and earrings. You can use cardboard, lace, chicken wire, thin branches or mesh for backing or hanging. For a DIY framed jewelry organizer, get instructions here

Teacups: Use those stunning teacups that are gathering dust in your cupboard and enjoy them everyday (if you don’t own teacups, now you have a good excuse, your’re welcome). Stashing your fancy, glittering baubles in some fancy teacups just makes sense. I believe these porcelain beauties look killer on a vanity or dresser reflected in a mirror. Apartment people this is us!

Boards (DIY): Hang cork boards, peg boards, or sturdy boards wrapped in patterned fabrics, framed or unframed. To hang your necklaces, bracelets and other baubles (yes, I like the word baubles), use unique push pins or t-pins. For instructions to get your board on, go here

Trays: Use small, ornamental trays to create straight-up class on your vanity or dressers especially if you are short on space. Pair a few trays of varying sizes with vases or candle votives to create a full on display with some dimension. Feel free to line up your perfume bottles behind your baubles on a tray of their very own to take it even further.
