Stone. It belongs in your kitchen… did you know? OK yes… granite, marble, slate: we find these all the time in kitchen materials. Yet, these stones have been polished and primped like teenage girls on prom night. I am talking about au naturel baby.
WARNING: these stoned kitchens could give you a contact high (right in time for the long weekend).

Use stone to emphasize a beautiful feature if you aren’t going for too earthly of a look.

The use of a natural stone does not necessarily mean rustic style, this feels almost French. Check out the stacked stone beneath the stove hood.

This kitchen is ballin’ and brimming with personality. I like how all these different materials granite, wood and stone meld together for a metropolitan look.

Go modern and sleek with some stone focus. This is Eldorado slate grey stacked stone.

This transitional kitchen shares both rustic and industrial elements and is one of my faves. I love the staining on the cabinets.

I like all the colors in the stone rainbow like the walls in this kitchen. This space looks rustic but has a traditional vibe.

A very contemporary kitchen with a blend of materials from the concrete floor, steel beams, oak ceiling and cabinets and of course, the stacked Cisco Grove stone quarried in Montana.

Can we all just stop and appreciate the beauty of this ceiling, which knows how gorgeous it is because of the border lighting to emphasize it. This is like Sophia Vergara wearing a tight dress because she is Sophia Vergara, so she should.

The fireplace incorporates Kohler Blend Stone and it is a cool feature as it is exposed just a touch, the rest surrounded with wood.

Again, stone can be used in even the most formal or traditional of kitchens. PROOF.
This kitchen is truly unique. The stone look is subtle here as the cut stone is set into plaster. The walls work great with those copper pots…amiright?

Another cool stone feature, check out this sassy, curved island.

This is an acid stained concrete countertop and the backsplash/walls are straight-up rock, Pennsylvania Ledgestone. Shout out to the lighting under the bar.

There is something about stone with light wood and black window frames, I thought we should talk about that now.
space

Again, this stone is set into plaster giving it a softer, more flush look, perfect for a wall particularly when surrounded by so many cool focal features.

Stone looks great with copper as seen by the hood behind this bar. The stone in this particular kitchen is more rough so the homeowners decided on a smoother finish to create a balance (note to self).
space

Again, shout out to the curved, stone island in this traditional kitchen.

And for my favorite… it is quite impressive to have an industrial-style kitchen seamlessly pull off the incorporation of stone. BOOM!
Until next time,
Happy Fourth! AMERICA!
