15 Killer Home Bars

A bar: “Where everybody knows your name.” My fondness for these establishments, particularly the cozy pubs in NYC, cannot be measured (although maybe in drinks consumed).

If I’m being completely honest, I’m not intrigued by the surrounding strangers ranging from “woohoo” gals to creepy prep guys (depending on where you go). I like catching up with my friends and acting a fool as the night progresses. With more consumption, my antics fledge into full form and begin to take flight. Perhaps my companions feel it would be better if I were properly contained, but alas, I am out in public roaming free, all passersby defenseless. If you also think containing your drunk self is not a bad idea, why not build your own alcohol fortress? #becauseIcantafforditobviously

Here are 15 killer home bars where you can do you:

Traditional Home Bar by Northvale Design-Build Firms Creative Design Construction, Inc.

I am really feeling the style here. A dark wood bar to me is reminiscent of a good-ole Irish pub, yet the slate and white leather chairs grant a modern feel.

Contemporary Home Bar by Portland Photographers KuDa Photography

So your style is rustic or you are very handy, this reclaimed wood presents a unique bar surrounded by modern, industrial touches such as the pendant lighting and stools. Shout out to the high top shelving and shelf lighting.

Mediterranean Family Room by Dana Point Interior Designers & Decorators Macaluso Designs

Maybe you are more of a Ron Burgundy and you like leather-bound books and rich mahogany. This is a classic bar with a very cool vibe.

Contemporary Home Bar by London Interior Designers & Decorators The Art of Bespoke

I am weird, but this is one of my favorites. I love the mirrored bar pulled in with the metallic cabinets not to mention those awesome chairs.

Traditional Basement by Millbrook Architects & Building Designers Crisp Architects

Ahhh, Ireland, I can smell you now. This space is amazing and gives off a community-vibe as it is a full-sized bar. The dark cabinetry with the stained-glass window panes…*dead.

Contemporary Wine Cellar by Minneapolis Photographers Spacecrafting / Architectural Photography

This is an eclectic space and I’m digging it. I love the stone, the dark wood and the metallic tile bar back splash.

Contemporary Family Room by Chicago Interior Designers & Decorators Michael Abrams Limited

Come to me dark wood for I love you and will take care of you. This is a swanky space in black and light gray. The glass shelving on the bar is superb as well as the overhead ceiling lighting and glass guitar cases. Let us not forget the numerous black pendants of all shapes and sizes.

Transitional Home Bar by Melbourne Interior Designers & Decorators STUDIOMINT

You don’t need a full, underground bar to play this game. I love how this small bar is propped up but comes into full focus under these unique, circular overhead lights and the creative gilded-framed back splash with a pop of orange.

Modern Living Room by Other Metro Architects & Building Designers Pozas Arquitectos

This bar feels Asian-inspired and I like it. The wood looks amazing against the dark gray hues and the hanging, glass pendants are killing me.

Traditional Home Bar

The shape of this bar is awesome and allows for maximum seating. I feel like manly-men would go crazy for this.

Midcentury Kitchen by New York Interior Designers & Decorators Amy Lau Design

How cool is the blue tile against these wooden shelves? The style is reflected in the glass, sphere pendants.

Traditional Home Bar by Coopersburg Home Media Design & Installation Current Concepts Home Automation

This space feels like a speakeasy or a cigar lounge and those, to me, are great things. The woodwork is intense and amazing. Check out that ceiling!

Traditional Home Bar by Malibu Interior Designers & Decorators Janette Mallory Interior Design Inc.

I love this bar corner. Something is really getting me with these chairs, gray bar and geometric, hanging pendant.

Rustic Family Room by Atlanta Architects & Building Designers Peace Design

How cool is this rustic bar that feels all cozy and tucked away? I love the stone and weathered wood combo. The only missing element is a fireplace.

Victorian Home Bar by Birmingham Architects & Building Designers VanBrouck & Associates, Inc.

Now for our featured bar, perhaps my favorite. I love the chilling fridges, to the pendants and even the patterned woodwork. Nailed it.

Thank you for walking through this journey with me. I can imagine myself posted up in every single stool you’ve seen. Happy inspiration.

Stay saucy (this time “saucy” refers to alcohol as well because bars),
